sand cirkle
On the 19th of April 2001 the Kanadiske crop circle organisation CCCS received a report en rapport about
a "crater like" circle on the ground in an pasture-land close to Etzikom, Alberta. The perfectly round area
measured 3,6 metres in diameter and the periphery consisted of a high ring formed ridge of sand.
Memebers of the organisation AUFOSG inspected the site. Three small identations forming a triangle were
found at the inside of
the ridge. Also rust coloured flakes were observed on the ground inside the ring.
CCCS suggest that the circle might be a meteorite crater, but the Department of Geology at the University
in Lethbridge did not discover any signs supporting the meteorite theory. The report was however filed as
a possible metorite crater.
Two weeks prior to the discovery of the sand circle, a neighbour reported having observed a strange light
phenomenon in the sky above the area. It looked like a "funnel of fire", andhe observed continiously for
more than an hour.
