V - formation in cereal crop at Holter, Nannestad

Location:          Holter, Nannestad

First reported: Approx. June the 17th 2001 by Kjell Christensen

Design:             V-formation. The ”arms” bent outward at the top, and culiminated
                            in a small circle in the base of the V.
Length:             "Arms" approximately 150 meters long each.
With:                  The  V-”arms” themselves approx. 1 meter wide.
Angle:                Approx. 30 degree angle of divergence between the "arms".

Description:     This is no typical crop circle, - the pattern was formed by the
                            extended growth rate of the crop of approx. 20 cm, compared to
                            the crop in the rest of the field.  Because of the heavy rain, some
                            of the crop had layed or blown down several places in the formation
                            due to natural weather causes. The V-formation therefore was
                            somewhat damaged at the time of on-site study visit, as one may
                            see in the immages attached.

Samples:          Samples were collected from the crop inside and outside the formation.

                            The length of the axes inside the formation by middle value: 83,12 cm

Harvesting:      The crop was planted in this field in may, and harvested the 20th of august.

Energy:              It was found higher energy levels (by subjective dowsing) inside the
                             formation than outside.
UFO-sighting:  Kjell Christensen observed a UFO over the crop field aeria on the 10th
                             of June at 14:30hrs, just three days prior to the arrival of the V formation.

 

Our comment:  This particular event / phenomenon is very interesting due to the two
                             following factors:

                             Increased crop growth rate inside the formation with no explanation,
                             and also the direct observation of a UFO manoeuvring over the field
                             just days prior to the manifestation of the crop glyph.
